🫠Personal (Everyone's) Journey#
We all started by purchasing servers, buying domain names, setting up, uploading, beautifying, and even being forced to maintain servers. Everyone has overcome challenges along the way, achieving a lot. Thus, having a blog to express feelings and record technical news became a consensus among us, whether it's Hexo, WP, Publii, or Gridea, dynamic or static. It can be quite time-consuming and labor-intensive. I just finished watching a video by the author of Xlog and genuinely felt the presence of a big shot nearby. I'm used to working alone, but after watching, it felt like a spring breeze.
😘Why I Chose Xlog?#
I'm not a programmer, but I want a platform I can control. Where can I find that? There aren't many options that don't require filing and can bind domain names. Moreover, it's free. Of course, when the author fixes or adds features, I might not be able to use Xlog, but at that time, switching to Publii or WP is also possible, and then I can just export markdown files. Storage is a big issue; if I exceed Netlify's 100G, I'll have to buy object storage. Migration aside, speed will also need to be considered. Xlog is blockchain-based, so this seems to be a concern I don't have to worry about. It's just the questions raised about it; I've asked some big shots around me, and they don't seem interested in blockchain. So as a platform for my work output, it is definitely sufficient.
🫡Let's Encourage Each Other#
In fact, under the current economic downturn in the country, we don't have many choices. When the pressure is high, we need an outlet to record and vent. Otherwise, I would have gone crazy long ago. Moreover, I've just entered society, and it's common to overlook things. At this time, recording it down isn't a bad thing. So we emphasize cultivating ourselves, flying with swords, 凝于半空,overlooking the landscape, and writing down our continuations is the norm.
